
William
Byron Barber II is regarded as one of the most prominent
plastic surgeons in his field and has recently been selected
one of Americas Top Surgeons. He has been practicing
plastic surgery in Greensboro for 14 years and is board
certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He
is presently Chief of Plastic Surgery at Moses Cone Hospital
System and is an active member of numerous local, regional
and national plastic surgery organizations.
Dr. Barber specializes in cosmetic surgery
of the face and body. He is committed to maintaining the
highest standards in the industry. Dr. Barber evaluates
each patient thoroughly during their consultation to determine
if they are a good candidate for the procedure they are
considering. He educates and advises his patients regarding
their expectations and results that are realistic. This

confidentiality that Dr. Barber embodies, has made him

North Carolina Boating Magazine has published Dr. Barbers
opinion on several occasions as their expert on skin cancer
and aging. Dr. Barber is also a regular contributor in
the field of plastic surgery to the Greensboro News &
Record column on Ask the Doctor and has appeared
as a guest on local television for questions regarding
plastic surgery. He has also shared his expertise speaking
within the community on the latest plastic surgery procedures.
A magna cum laude from Wofford College in
Spartanburg, South Carolina, Dr. Barber received his medical
degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in
Charleston. He completed his general surgery residency
at Bethesda Naval Hospital and his plastic surgery residency
at Duke University Medical Center. Dr. Barber was also
the Christine Kleinert Fellow at the University of Louisville.
Married to Henrietta D. Barber, Dr. Barber and his wife
have three sons.
