programs are compared, the Obagi system is a physician
directed skin repair system that works below the skin’s
surface
to stimulate healthy new growth of collagen and
elastin. The system also works to tighten the skin,
remove unwanted pigmentation and exfoliate the dull
dead skin that resides on the surface. This results in
a
healthier skin of the face that is noticeable after only
3 months on the program.
Each person who comes into the office will
be evaluated by either Dr. Barber or his aesthetician
and a personalized program will be formulated. No two
people are alike and therefore the program will be individualized.
The program consists of a cleanser, pH balancing toner,
tretinoin (Retin-A), a skin bleacher for pigment irregularities,
and occasionally something to stimulate an aggressive
exfoliation. Some patients benefit by undergoing a mild
or medium depth chemical peels to get to the next level
