Micro Fat Grafting

Micro fat grafting is a surgical procedure that harvests fat from a patient’s abdomen, usually no more than one or two tablespoons, for facial wrinkle reduction.  The fat is then prepared for reinjection into deeper lines in the face such as the nasolabial folds or the marionette lines.  The fat can also be placed in other areas of the face to restore fullness due to fat loss, such as the lower cheeks or the cheekbone area.  At the Barber Center, this procedure is typically preformed in conjunction with another surgical facial procedure such as a facelift in order to yield more improvement around the mouth and jowl area.
