Sculptra® Aesthetic is a revolutionary type of dermal filler procedure. Unlike hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers, Sculptra® Aesthetic is a poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) based treatment. It works with your body to stimulate your own natural collagen production, reinforcing the skin’s inner structure and restoring its volume.
The procedure is typically done in a series of 3-4 treatments which are usually 4-5 weeks apart. Sculptra® Aesthetic works gradually, over time, to replace lost collagen. A few days after treatment patients may look as they did before treatment. Visible results appear within the first few treatment sessions. Patients in the clinical study reported still having visible improvement 2 years after the last injection!
- Treats more than just wrinkles, lines, and folds
- Subtle results that emerge over time
- Helps to restore lost collagen
- Results that can last more than 2 years
Like with other injectable products, there is always a risk of bruising and/or swelling. We recommend scheduling your initial Sculptra® Aesthetic treatment when you can go home and monitor how your body reacts. This will help you be able to plan according for your subsequent treatments. At home care, such as massaging the treatment area, is also part of the Sculptra® Aesthetic treatment protocol. Your injector will go into further detail at your initial consultation.
