IPL Treatment

Monica IPL

IPL, or intense pulse light, is similar to but is not truly a laser. The light energy emitted from the hand piece of the devise penetrates just below the skin’s surface in the dermal layer to damage and break up pigmentation and/or blood vessels. Your body’s natural healing processes then come in and clear out the damaged tissue which results in a more even skin tone. For optimal results patients will typically need a series of 4-6 treatments done about 4 weeks apart.

IPL can be done on almost any area of the body.  The most common areas are the face,  neck, chest, arms and hands.  Each of these areas are considered individual treatment areas.  If you’re considering IPL or have additional questions, click here or call our office to schedule a no-cost consultation today.
