Laser tattoo removal is a technique that allows for the removal of unwanted tattoos with minimal to no scarring. Tattoo removal can require several different kinds of lasers depending on the colors of the tattoo. A blue-black tattoo is typically the easiest one to remove. The tattoos with more exotic colors tend to be more difficult to remove and therefore take more time. One can expect up to 12 treatments or more to erase the tattoo, and even then there may be a shadow of the tattoo left.
The procedure is done here in the office and does not require the use of an anesthetic. We use the VersaPulse® laser for tattoo removal. The VersaPulse® utilizes variable pulse technology to target the treatment area. A consultation is required prior to scheduling your initial treatment. We offer tattoo removal once a month. For a list of current treatment dates please call the office or visit our Event Calendar. The treatment takes less than 20 minutes.

- No surgery or anesthesia
- Minimal downtime
Patients can expect a moderate amount of discomfort during and after treatment. The tattoo may blister post treatment. The area treated will need to remain occluded with Aquaphor or Polysporin and covered with a bandage for approximately 5-7 days. Depending on where the tattoo is located and how large the area is being treated will determine if there is more significant downtime.
